A Journey to Presence

A unique workshop where the calming presence of horses nurtures mindfulness and grounding
Step out of the rush of daily life and into a space where time softens, breath deepens, and awareness gently returns to the present moment. Mindfulness with Horses is a unique, experiential workshop designed to help you reconnect with yourself, with nature, and with the quiet wisdom of horses.
Horses are deeply intuitive, sensitive beings who respond not to words, but to energy, intention, and authenticity. In their presence, we are invited to slow down, tune in, and become aware of what's happening within us. They offer immediate, honest feedback that can reveal patterns, soften tension, and guide us back into a grounded, centered state.
Date: Saturday, May 23 | 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Location: Helping Hands Healing Sanctuary, Newberg, OR
Workshop Cost: $175
Proudly presented by Helping Hands Healing Sanctuary
An award-winning documentary exploring the profound connection between horses and human healing
Helping Hands Healing Sanctuary is honored to share a special invitation with you and our community to experience Rescued Hearts, a powerful story that beautifully captures the profound connection between horses and human healing.
This moving film explores how horses help people navigate trauma, anxiety, grief, and emotional challenges, offering a window into the deeply intuitive and transformative process of equine-assisted healing. It brings to life the same heart-centered work we are doing every day here in Newberg at Helping Hands Healing Sanctuary.
Through deeply moving personal stories and heart-based research, the film explores the profound and often miraculous connection between humans and horses, revealing how they offer a space where healing and transformation can unfold. Rescued Hearts isn't just the story of horses. It's ultimately the story of all of us, an invitation to deeper connection with ourselves, each other, and the natural world.

Our animals will always have a safe home to spend the rest of their days, regardless of their ‘usefulness’ to humans. Most of our horses have injuries that prevent them from being ridden, and here they connect with humans in a more natural and self-determining way.
